Pepco Sucks Even Worse

By Albert on June 19, 2011 9:30 AM

Hearings have started to discuss the dismal, pathetic quality of service rendered by Pepco. I’ve said enough on the topic, but I have to quote Eric Friedman:

“It’s a cumbersome procedure, it’s going on and on,” he said. “Pepco’s got a lot of lawyers. It seems their lawyers are better than their linemen, and it’s going to take a long time to get to any improvement.”

Yes, Pepco is spending our money on lawyers to argue that they deserve our money without doing anything for it. Yay.

Power Out Again: Rain!

Wow.

The power went out tonight again. This time due to rain.

You know, because rain is such extreme weather.

PEPCO - Your establishment is a wreck. Forget about it. You suck. To be clear, PEPCO SUCKS!

Pepco Kensington Sub-Station Collapse As Seen From Bethesda

By Albert on January 30, 2011 11:47 AM

I’ve been very unlucky with PEPCO’s service. In short, they are grossly incompetent.

I was lucky, however, to bear witness to this visual conflagration of their incompetence:

Its a video one of my neighbors took of the substation fire and collapse from earlier this week. It was very eerie, but it was beautiful, too.

It took Pepco two days to turn the power back on, and from what I’ve read, some people are still without power. For shame!

Here Comes Restaurant Week!

Bethesda’s Restaurant Week

January 24 - 30, 2011

In fact, Bethesda’s Restaurant Week is right around the corner! Its time to eat, folks.

I’ve started going out to eat from time to time, and I just wrote a review of Siu’s Asian Bistro and The Silver Diner.

As for restaurant week, Mon Ami Gabi looks to be the place I’d like to go. I have a weak spot for Steak Frites!

PEPCO Reliability Contractor

I’m finally getting around to uploading and sharing this picture of a “PEPCO Reliability Contractor” I spotted on Wisconsin Ave. a few weeks ago:

PEPCO Reliability Contractor

I, like many Bethesda residents (and the surrounding metro DC areas), have taken an interest in PEPCO, considering how they are unable to keep the power on.
