Rockville Public Library

Today I am visiting the Rockville Public Library. So far my experience has been, as they say, "metza metza".

There's no doubt about it, downtown Rockville is beautiful - and that includes the modern, tasteful architecture of the library building. However, while there are many signs for municipal resources, including senior centers and city hall, road signs for the library are only posted in the immediate vicinity of the building itself.

If you haven't guessed already, I'll spell it out - I was driving to the library, and rather than park on the sidewalk, I wanted to find a legal and safe place to park my car for a few hours. Unfortunately the website didn't provide this information, and the street parking was only for one hour. Thankfully there is a garage underground which offers four hour parking at the same rate as the street - $1 / hour. Can't beat that. What surprised me was that upon entering the library, I noticed that there is a free parking system inside, like the one at the Bethesda Library. Ooops, oh well, $4 is not a lot of cash to part with for the resources this library provides at no charge, like the wi-fi I'm using to write this blog post!
